The Worldkiln Founding Developer Program recognizes developers who help shape Worldkiln during its early development.
Founding Developers are people who meaningfully use the engine, build projects, test releases, report problems, provide feedback, or otherwise contribute to improving Worldkiln before version 1.0.
Founding Developer Status
Founding Developer status is intended to be permanent.
When Worldkiln eventually moves beyond its founding era, the developers who earned that status remain part of its history.
Participation
The program is based on meaningful involvement rather than registration alone.
Participation may include:
- Building projects with Worldkiln.
- Testing public or development releases.
- Reporting bugs and regressions.
- Providing product or workflow feedback.
- Helping improve documentation or usability.
- Contributing useful examples, ideas, or testing.
There is no requirement that every Founding Developer contribute in the same way.
AEOWUN Members and the Founding Developer Pipeline
AEOWUN Members is the community and contribution layer behind the Founding Developer Program.
Members can maintain a profile, share projects and updates, publish games, submit builds, report bugs, provide feedback, and participate in the AEOWUN community. Meaningful activity can be recorded as contribution history.
A contribution may be recorded automatically from supported workflows or added during administrative review. Contributions can then be marked as verified when AEOWUN confirms that the activity materially helped Worldkiln or its community.
A verified contribution does not automatically grant Founding Developer status. Instead, it makes the member eligible for review.

Founding Developer
The program therefore has three distinct states:
- Member — anyone with an AEOWUN account.
- Contributor — a member with recorded or verified useful participation.
- Founding Developer — a contributor explicitly recognized by AEOWUN for meaningful participation during Worldkiln's pre-1.0 development.
Examples of activity that may become verified contribution history include confirmed bug reports, accepted feedback, useful testing, documentation work, project building, published games, and other contributions that materially improve Worldkiln.
The review step is intentionally human. A single verified contribution may place a member into the candidate queue, but final Founding Developer recognition depends on the significance and quality of participation rather than a simple automatic threshold.
When Founding Developer status is awarded, it becomes part of the member's public recognition history and is intended to remain with that member after the founding era closes.
Benefits
Founding Developers may receive special recognition, access, opportunities, previews, community roles, or other benefits associated with Worldkiln.
The exact benefits may evolve as Worldkiln grows.
Founding Developer status does not guarantee any specific product, service, payment, discount, access level, or commercial benefit unless separately announced.
Founding Era
The Founding Developer Program is tied to Worldkiln's pre-1.0 development period.
The founding era will eventually close.
Developers who earned Founding Developer status before that point will retain it.
Help build Worldkiln before 1.0. Be part of where it started.
